Workshops and Trainings: Neurodivergence, Non-Monogamy, Trauma, and Somatics
“Somatic” is a hot button word these days. But what does it mean? And why is it helpful?
Join me in a 1.5 hour workshop that explores the basics of somatic healing. Why is it that folks with treatment resistant depression and ptsd tend to end up in somatic therapy after years of talk therapy? How do our bodies process and respond to stressful events? What can we do day to day to help our bodies survive late stage white supremacist capitalism?
Embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing with our Intro to Somatic Healing Workshop, designed to empower you through body-focused techniques.
Explore foundational techniques of somatic healing in an interactive workshop.
Learn to connect with your body's innate healing abilities and enhance your well-being.
Gain practical skills to incorporate somatic practices into your daily life.
Unlock a deeper understanding of yourself and foster a harmonious connection between mind and body.
In this course we will learn PRACTICAL somatic tools such as orienting, breathing techniques, movement approaches, and building inner awareness. We also explore how systems of oppression impact our bodies, and how our bodies interact with each other. Expect a mix of neuroscience, sociology, psychology, and movement!
